H&H Alaskan Outfitters is a family-owned business based in Soldotna, Alaska. We specialize in Alaska Yukon Moose and Barren Ground Caribou. H&H Alaskan Outfitters offers a professional guiding service for brown bears, moose, caribou, grizzly bears, mountain goat, and Sitka black tail deer. We offer 1x1 hunts (1 hunter/ 1 guide) and 2x1 hunts. Hunts may also be customized upon request. We are more than happy to discuss your options.
We conduct fair chase, spot, and stalk hunts. Our camps operate with a ‘leave-no-trace’ mentality and we avidly support conservation efforts.
H&H Alaskan Outfitters started up in 2013. During my previous years of assistant guiding with other outfitters, I noticed many missed opportunities to provide excellent service to clients. A hunt is so much more than just filling tags!

Alaska/Yukon moose are one of the largest ungulates in North America. These animals grow an impressive amount of antler under the long summer sun here in Alaska. A short bush plane flight out of Nome, AK will place you at the Base Camp, our central hub for all northern operations. If you are in search of a guided Alaskan moose hunt, we offer a very unique opportunity unlike any other in North America.

The caribou we pursue are classified as Barren Ground Caribou. They grow the largest set of head gear in relation to body size than any other species in the deer family. These caribou are part of the Western Arctic Caribou herd. If you have ever hunted on the tussock grasses of the tundra you will appreciate the ability to scout for these nomadic animals from an 8-wheel argo.
We offer hunts for big coastal brown bears in two areas. One is on Alaska Peninsula that has private leased land that only our hunters have access to hunt on. We take only 2-3 hunters per season to this location. The other is on the infamous Kodiak Island. Both of these areas are known for producing some of the biggest brown bears in the world. We also conduct Arctic grizzly hunts on the Seward Peninsula.

The most underrated trophy in all of North America is the mountain goat. The population on Kodiak is healthy and increasing steadily. This has equated to a very high success rate for our clients.

The Sitka black-tail deer is a close cousin to the Columbia black-tail. These deer are a great hunting experience. Hunting deer where some of the world’s largest bears call home adds a bit of excitement.
